Kenya & Uganda: CAFOD partners’ workshop on gender

Home |  News | Kenya & Uganda: CAFOD partners’ workshop on gender

Kenyan and Ugandan partners of Side by Side member organisation CAFOD have taken part in a workshop in Nairobi, 8 to 10 February, to share their experience and learning on promoting gender equality, and discuss possibilities for forming a gender Community of Practice.

Through presentations and open space for discussions, the participants reflected on milestones and challenges, and used the River of Life tool to help them explore the story so far and how the journey might continue. (The River of Life is a visual narrative method that helps people tell stories of the past, present and future.)

Two guests from the coordinating team of the Side by Side Kenya chapter, Fr Evangelos Thiani and Charles Opiyo, were present during the workshop to describe the origins and commitments of the Side by Side movement for gender justice.
