LOST CHILDHOOD: Drivers of Child Pregnancy in Kenya. This report published by the Kenyan National Gender & Equality Commission follows a public enquiry. It documents the gravity and pervasive trend of child pregnancies, looks at socio-cultural drivers and psychosocial and health factors, interrogates the legal and policy framework on child pregnancy, and makes recommendations.

Among the recommendations are that the Minstry responsible for gender should undertake a comprehensive and coordinated multi sectorial approach in ending child pregnancies and marriages, engaging both public and private actors, civil society organsiations, faith-based organisations and communities, and other actors.
